My Broadway Adventure

My Broadway Adventure Sasha Agent

On Broadway…

Hello Broadway! On today’s video post, I take you on a quick, yet personal tour of my Broadway adventure, and I even set you up with some background information about my incredible best friend, Rebecca Riker, check it out here!

Now you know I won’t leave you hangin’ without sharing my style! I have quite a few NYC looks that I shot in, however, I don’t want to overwhelm you, so let me just start with sharing my Broadway style first.

The Evening Show

My first evening in New York, I got to watch my gorgeous and talented friend perform as her regular role in the ensemble of the hit Broadway show, An American in Paris. She was fabulous of course, so I definitely had to make sure that I rocked a legit Broadway night look.

Check out this stunning Open Back dress from & Other Stories. I styled this dress with a vintage gold velvet clutch from a local couture vintage boutique known as, Vintage Martini. Click here for a similar clutch. My boots are old and from Free People, but here is a similar look. Finally, I make a statement with the tiniest statement necklace by Emlishops, click here for this exact bar necklace.

The Matinée

My next Broadway outfit of the day made a matinée appearance. On this amazing day, I got to witness something incredible–Becky, my friend, played one of the lead roles. No, I don’t think you understand, she was a lead on Broadway! Trust me, this was a big deal! So I actually got to see her perform as two separate roles. She was absolutely beautiful in both, and I am so thankful I got the chance to witness it.

Here I went for more of a retro chic look. I wore a gorgeous tan colored skirt from Chicwish, and a keyhole mock neck top from Free People (see similar here). In order to avoid checking my suitcase, I rocked the same boots from the previous look. To give this look that retro touch, I used my favorite suede fringe tote (see similar here). And to top it off, I rocked my Pelle NYC (@pelle.nyc) fur pom hat that you may have seen here and here. I received so many compliments on this unique look!

My Broadway Adventure Sasha AgentWhat a weekend… My friend is seriously so talented. Not only did she kick butt on Broadway, but she also took many of these photos with the help of her, also amazing, hubby. Who can knock out show after show, cater to house guest, and help a needy blogger friend with pictures? Only one person… and that’s my girl, Rebecca Riker. Love you to pieces friend!

Hope you enjoyed my amazing Broadway Adventure! If you’ll be in the New York area any time soon, you’ve got to see my girl in action–she’s brilliant! And the show, An American in Paris is absolutely beautiful!

Teach Me How to Knit!

Okay, I’m not literally going to teach you how to knit, in fact, I would love to learn one day, but in the mean time, I will just purchase mine for now.

What I mean is… let me teach you how to style your knits! Don’t feel limited to just wearing your sweaters one way. Dress them up, dress them down, layer them, and style them! Allow your knit to sort of act as a blank canvas to express your unique style.

Most of my knits were featured on my 2015 Winter Lookbook Part 1 video blog that I featured a few weeks ago. Be sure to check out this vlog so you can see these outfits in action!

I layered my turtleneck hi low knit over a stripped collar button up (see here for a similar top). I also can’t get enough of these patchwork Old Navy skinny jeans… I could live in these! These hot pink pointed heels are also a must, click here for these beauties. Here I changed out my jeans for a classic leather mini. Found this vintage beauty at a thrift store, but click here and here for similar looks.
These Chinese Laundry suede peep toes are a must! Click here for super savings!
This time I kept the leather skirt, and changed out my knit. This cowl neck cropped sweater can be worn casually or dressed up, like I’m wearing here.
Love this cut out high low hem sweater dress! I took this sweater and gave it an edgier look simply by adding a spiked embellished bib necklace (Zara), see a similar edgy look here. Absolutely love these peep toe leather booties from my partner store, Your Resale.  Direct Message them if you see anything you like! Click here for a similar edgy boot.

For a softer look, I paired this dress with a beautiful Emlishops layered necklace and brown pointed heels from Lulu*s.
For a more chic look, I wore an Emlishops beaded gold necklace with my favorite Chinese Laundry peep toes.
You’ll never believe this… This entire look is from Your Resale and Plato’s Closet–meaning they are all thrift finds! I found these gorgeous turquoise red bottom pointed heels (see similar look here) and oversized knit (see similar here) from my partner store, Your Resale. Follow them on Instagram, and direct message them if you see what you like! These never worn Abercrombie distressed boyfriend jeans (see similar here) were found for 9 bucks, with tags still attached!
Just saw that this genuine suede fringe clutch is on sale for $20.93. Did I mention it’s real suede?
