Fashion tip: Ladies, check your picnic baskets to see if they could also double as a handbag… lol! But seriously… This summer it’s all about the wooden handbag, straw tote, or even basket purse. My latest statement bag is for sure a classic for summers to come. Introducing… [insert drumroll] Gaia’s Ark by Cult Gaia.
Fashion in Art Form
Today’s feature, and ultimate summer bag of 2017, is literally a piece of art. Gaia’s Ark in natural is the latest must have in street style wear, and its natural color allows you to wear it with pretty much everything. This Japanese style bag is made from real bamboo, and its unique look will for sure make people stop and stare out of envy. I don’t consider myself a minimalist, nor do I wear many contemporary looks. However, with this summer bag–no matter what you wear, it’s going to look finished and polished because of this amazing summer bag. I’ve seen others wear this bag with sundresses, jeans, and even sneakers–either way, Gaia’s Ark in natural adds that unique piece of personality to your summer look.
Below, you can shop my favorite summer bag via Cult Gaia in addition to more great styles by my faves–Target, Free People, and Nordstrom (basket style). If you love my vintage romper )(also seen here), you will also see similar looks linked below.
Does anyone else find Target to be their favorite place? I’m trying to understand when this store got so unbelievably full of temptations. I remember going to Target as a kid occasionally for household items–you know, like paper towels, lotion… stuff like that. Well, I still go to Target for these necessities, however, now my shopping cart is filled with random dollar section stuff, a dress, bathing suits, lip gloss, toothpaste, sandals, and earrings?! How randomly wonderful! And although this obsession can get super expensive, I still can’t seem to shake my addiction.
Three Reasons Why I’m Addicted to Target
Let’s discuss Who What Wear, Sugarfix by BaubleBar, and Cat & Jack. Because of these amazing brands, I’m constantly having to explain to my husband how I managed to spend another 200 bucks at Target, when I simply went to get toothpaste and diapers. Me: “Well… I remembered we had to get dog food, and then it dawned on me that we needed garbage bags. Also there was this amazing dress, and most adorable tops for the girls!” The Husband: “You’re banned from this place.” Me: “I would die without my Target!”
My Starting Line Up
Ever since the line Who What Wear launched at Target (see my previous posts about Who What Wearhere, here and here) I’ve been hooked. Their quality, prices, plus the convenience of purchasing their pieces have quickly made it a fave of mine. Their pieces are perfect for the work place and off hours. Since that launch, a children’s line by the name of Cat & Jack also moved in, and I’ve found that their pieces are simply adorable and perfect for my girls. Finally, another thing that makes Target awesome is the new jewelry line, Sugarfix by BaubleBar. BaubleBar has always been a favorite. Their trendy jewelry and bright colors always make appearances on the best of the best bloggers. Now that they have teamed up with Target; they’re are unstoppable.
Well… kind of. You see, Dallas never seems to disappoint when it comes to the weather. This past weekend began in the high 80s! Yep! Middle of winter, and here I am bundled up in a scarf, my Ugg boots, and puff jacket–pregnant and sweating profusely. If you ever consider moving to Texas, just know that checking the weather is an everyday must.
So with this whole random 80 degree weather thing we’ve got going on, I figured I might as well start gearing up for the spring. My first stop is always SheIn. This online retailer always seems to be on trend, and I never have to overspend. They constantly push out new pieces by releasing new clothing and accessories everyday.
If you check out my top picks from below, you’ll notice that the off the shoulder, cold shoulder trend is still alive and well! Thank goodness too because this look is super gorgeous and flattering on all body types. I’m also noticing that ruffles, bell sleeves, and flowy styles are a big trend this year. And to me, this all sounds so refreshing, because there’s just something about winter fashion and pregnancy that don’t seem to be working for me.
Check out my top 10 picks from SheIn–their Spring line up is looking very colorful and bright! Now, let the Spring countdown begin!
Try both maybe... I love that many companies are getting a running start on Black Friday, both in store and online–which helps reduce the chaos. In fact, some stores have been holding sales all throughout the week–for example, my husband and I just treated ourselves to an early Christmas gift by splurging on a brand spankin’ new flat screen TV! The best part, we didn’t have to spend the night in the cold or fight off hostile crowds to get it!
Clothing retailers are also jumping on the bandwagon by opening up shop online Thanksgiving day, and by offering INCREDIBLE deals. I’m personally excited to see what deals Nordstrom, my favorite store, has to offer.
If you see below, you’ll find some of my favorites that are currently on sale, as well as a list of more amazing Thanksgiving day and Black Friday deals!
Thankful for all of your support! Happy eating and happy deal finding!
