Earlier this week I got the chance to meet another Influencer from the Dallas area. We decided to meet at a hip and gorgeous cafe by the name of Magnolias Sous Le Pont. This was my second time at this location, so I knew it would be the perfect place to meet and take a few blog pics. Upon walking in, I instantly noticed the aroma of amazing coffee. By the way, this is torture for someone who is breastfeeding and could desperately use some caffeine. I went ahead and settled for a refreshing sparkler instead–a special this week, along with an AMAZING almond croissant. It was a pretty mild day in Dallas, so we sat on the gorgeous patio to enjoy the setting.Something interesting was that we witnessed multiple (more…)
Salsa in the park just sounds like the perfect way to close out the summer, right? The fam and I actually attended a salsa event not too long ago in Addison where you could learn authentic salsa dance steps, and enjoy rich and live Latin music!
Here’s Your Chance!
Well, my Dallas peeps… if you’re up for a little adventure and spontaneity, you’ll want to possibly check out Salsa in the Park–Klyde Warren style tonight! Klyde Warren Park, located in the heart of Dallas, is a gorgeous park that hosts a ton of local events and classes (like seen here)! This event in particular, is one that will get you movin’, all while enjoying amazing music!
The event I attended with the family was more of a concert/dance setting. Tonight’s event, however, will be a little more structured with an actual dance class! If you attend, don’t necessarily feel pressured to participate. If you’re more of the ‘observe and enjoy good food’ type like my husband, feel free to enjoy the beautiful evening by jammin’ out to good music and munchin’ on goodies from your favorite Downtown Dallas spot!
What I Wore
I tried not to wear anything too cliché, so I actually wore a midi cherry blossom dress with a killer lace up back, and gladiator sandals. This dress’ mid length was perfect for movin’ and shakin’–I also received so many compliments, so I knew I did well!

So, I don’t really know how my love for farmers markets came about… I’m not sure if it’s just a sign that I’m getting older and wiser–meaning I have more of an appreciation for organic and natural foods, or maybe it’s just a phase. Either way, I’m obsessed with visiting my local farmers markets!
Right before we left for our Grand Canyon vacation, we finally got a chance to visit the Dallas Farmers Market. Even though this urban market is located downtown–it still has a very home like setting. Stocked with beautiful plants, flowers, fruits, vegetables, cafes, and vendors galore–you can spend hours exploring! While strolling the market, the family and I enjoyed organic mango tea, homemade pecan pie with vanilla ice cream, and Mexican tamales for lunch!
The Floral Midi Dress Farmers Market Style
When going to the farmers market during the summer, it only makes sense to wear something classic with florals–I mean the two just go hand in hand! This Brigitte Bailey floral midi dress, a la Zappos, is simply beautiful! Lightweight, comfy, and gorgeous–the vibrant fuchsia color and contrasting florals definitely make this dress one of a kind! I paired this beautiful floral midi dress with my favorite straw boaters hat from Nordstrom, see similar here, here and here, and my suede wrap up block heel sandals (Steve Madden), also from Nordstrom.
Scroll my pictures below for a few snapshots of our morning. I also have everything I wore linked at the bottom, so feel free to browse!

Not Your Typical Antique Mall
Hey guys! Welcome back! Okay so, the fact that Lula B’s is an antique mall may throw you–don’t let it! This isn’t your typical antique store–in fact your grandmother probably wouldn’t be into this place, unless she’s pretty hip like my mom–so I take that back.
Fan-Tabulous Lula B’s!
Anyhow, this place is FAN-TABULOUS! It’s two stories of awesomeness–filled with funky, retro, and contemporary finds–anything from home decor, furniture, vintage clothes/accessories, and even art! Best of all, Lula B’s is located in the heart of Deep Ellum in Downtown Dallas, Texas–home of the 42 Murals Project. If you visit, you’ll find awesome wall art, in addition to one of a kind restaurants–I highly recommend Serious Pizza–it’s super duper serious.
What I Found
I came up with some amazing finds at my darling Lula B’s. My first find was a pair of red plaid heels that were to die for–and they were only 5 bucks! Next, I found a vintage 1960’s pink gown which was featured on my Martin Luther King article, and is the main feature on today’s post. There were also quite a few finds that I just had no business purchasing–due to the fact that my husband would’ve flipped, such as a 70’s fur coat (featured on today’s video–don’t forget to check it out). This coat was stunning, and it totally reminded me of Carrie Bradshaw from “Sex in the City.” Last, but certainly not least, there were two adorable dogs. These guys practically live at this place, and they love greeting their guests!
See my pictures below for one of my stunning finds… You will definitely see me sporting more vintage finds from my favorite vintage one stop shop, Lula B’s!
Check out this amazing 1960’s gown I found for $12 bucks! I found a vintage dress with some similarities–but check the price difference… YIKES!I didn’t buy this, but I love cool finds like this!Gotta own some of these if you’re a Texan! Also, if you’re lovin’ my tutu, it’s still available! Just click here!A little Donna Summers love…My sweet little friends again… They even knew how to work the camera! An iconic mural right outside of Lula B’s. Another, right across the street! If you’re in the area, you’ve got to check them out!
