How to Style: A Festive Bohemian Holiday

Dallas Blogger Sasha Agent in bohemian dressDallas Blogger Sasha Agent in bohemian dressUnconventional

Every now and then I like to go the non-traditional route and wear something a bit moreDallas Blogger Sasha Agent in bohemian dress unconventional for the holidays. Bohemian styles have always been a fave of mine, so finding flowy looks that still work for the holidays are a super score!

Today’s Bohemian OOTD

My first outfit of the day is a black Christin Michaels dress via Zappos. This beautiful boho style dress has a fun print, with a dramatic open back. Try pairing this beauty with tan booties or over the knee boots–mine are an old Free People Jeffrey Campbell set, however, I found some similar looks here, here and here. I chose to pair this dress with my favorite over the knee military style boots  to give it more of a bohemian edge. I love how easily bohemian style mix with military accents.

The next dress is from Chicwish, another great online retailer known for its indie, chic, and boho styles. This dress has a beautiful red splash of color with turquoise accents–one of my favorite color combos.  I paired this dress with my stunning Sam Edelman fringe boots to add more to that boho glam look–see them here or here (for a non-fringed look).

If you’re lookin’ for different looks for your holiday parties or events, you may want to consider this comfy, yet knock out look of bohemian glam! Shop the post below for these looks and more boho holiday styles.

Happy Cyber Monday!

How to Dress the Bump or Non-Bump

Dallas Blogger Sasha Agent wearing cold shoulder sweater |dressing the bump

Dallas Blogger Sasha Agent wearing cold shoulder sweater The Grass is Always Greener…

Now, I must admit–sometimes I find the cutest maternity clothes, and naturally I’m like, “They never had cute stuff like this when I was pregnant.” Well, now that I’m pregnant, I find myself oohing and ahhing over the non-maternity section like, “I want this, this, and this!” I know, I know… The grass is always greener on the other side, right?

Anti-Maternity

So anyhow, I’ve got this philosophy… maternity clothes seem to be pricier than normalDallas Blogger Sasha Agent wearing cold shoulder sweater |dressing the bump clothes, and you only get to wear them for such a short period of time. My goal this year is to dress my bump with the essentials (via ASOS Maternity like jeans, work pants, a coat–things that are going to inevitably EXPAND no matter what. However, I want to try buying pieces that I can still wear and put to use even after my bump. I don’t know, I guess it’s the frugal side of me. I seriously HATE wasting money.

Today’s Bump Look

Today’s sweater is a Chicwish piece. I love how unique their clothes are; they’re for sure oneDallas Blogger Sasha Agent wearing cold shoulder sweater  of my faves. This knit piece has two cool features, the cold shoulder cut outs and the front tie. For some reason, I often tie shirts around my waist–I think I’m just drawn to an added layer of clothing. With this sweater, there’s no need to add a bulky layer of clothing–it already comes complete with a tie.

Below I’m linking pieces that can fly for both a growing bump, or just for the sake of it!

Happy Monday and wishing you all a happy Thanksgiving week!

Workin’ in the Summer

Sometimes work wear can be monotonous… The same neutrals over and over again… After a while, this look can become so blah! Today, I’m going to show you how to add a touch of summer to the workplace.

One of my featured looks on Instagram this week was an adorable cold shoulder Chicwish top. This top has summer written all over it! Naturally, you would want to wear this piece with denim, a fun girly skirt, or bright colors. Well, what about sporting a top like this to brighten up your work wear? I tested this combo out with my favorite black trousers from Nordstrom and instantly fell in love. One risk that I don’t mind taking is a fashion risk–and I’ve discovered that mixing work and summer attire is a brilliant combination!

The best part of all, you can easily transition back to your full summer wear after work, or of course on the weekends!

Shop this post below for direct links! I’ll be posting more ways to wear your summer pieces with work attire next week! Don’t forget to checkout today’s YouTube video featuring more summer work attire! You will also get a sneak preview of my upcoming posts.

Wishing you all a happy Thursday and a restful weekend!

My Broadway Adventure

My Broadway Adventure Sasha Agent

On Broadway…

Hello Broadway! On today’s video post, I take you on a quick, yet personal tour of my Broadway adventure, and I even set you up with some background information about my incredible best friend, Rebecca Riker, check it out here!

Now you know I won’t leave you hangin’ without sharing my style! I have quite a few NYC looks that I shot in, however, I don’t want to overwhelm you, so let me just start with sharing my Broadway style first.

The Evening Show

My first evening in New York, I got to watch my gorgeous and talented friend perform as her regular role in the ensemble of the hit Broadway show, An American in Paris. She was fabulous of course, so I definitely had to make sure that I rocked a legit Broadway night look.

Check out this stunning Open Back dress from & Other Stories. I styled this dress with a vintage gold velvet clutch from a local couture vintage boutique known as, Vintage Martini. Click here for a similar clutch. My boots are old and from Free People, but here is a similar look. Finally, I make a statement with the tiniest statement necklace by Emlishops, click here for this exact bar necklace.

The Matinée

My next Broadway outfit of the day made a matinée appearance. On this amazing day, I got to witness something incredible–Becky, my friend, played one of the lead roles. No, I don’t think you understand, she was a lead on Broadway! Trust me, this was a big deal! So I actually got to see her perform as two separate roles. She was absolutely beautiful in both, and I am so thankful I got the chance to witness it.

Here I went for more of a retro chic look. I wore a gorgeous tan colored skirt from Chicwish, and a keyhole mock neck top from Free People (see similar here). In order to avoid checking my suitcase, I rocked the same boots from the previous look. To give this look that retro touch, I used my favorite suede fringe tote (see similar here). And to top it off, I rocked my Pelle NYC (@pelle.nyc) fur pom hat that you may have seen here and here. I received so many compliments on this unique look!

My Broadway Adventure Sasha AgentWhat a weekend… My friend is seriously so talented. Not only did she kick butt on Broadway, but she also took many of these photos with the help of her, also amazing, hubby. Who can knock out show after show, cater to house guest, and help a needy blogger friend with pictures? Only one person… and that’s my girl, Rebecca Riker. Love you to pieces friend!

Hope you enjoyed my amazing Broadway Adventure! If you’ll be in the New York area any time soon, you’ve got to see my girl in action–she’s brilliant! And the show, An American in Paris is absolutely beautiful!
