Every now and then I like to go the non-traditional route and wear something a bit more unconventional for the holidays. Bohemian styles have always been a fave of mine, so finding flowy looks that still work for the holidays are a super score!
The next dress is from Chicwish, another great online retailer known for its indie, chic, and boho styles. This dress has a beautiful red splash of color with turquoise accents–one of my favorite color combos. I paired this dress with my stunning Sam Edelmanfringe boots to add more to that boho glam look–see them here or here (for a non-fringed look).
If you’re lookin’ for different looks for your holiday parties or events, you may want to consider this comfy, yet knock out look of bohemian glam! Shop the post below for these looks and more boho holiday styles.
Now, I must admit–sometimes I find the cutest maternity clothes, and naturally I’m like, “They never had cute stuff like this when I was pregnant.” Well, now that I’m pregnant, I find myself oohing and ahhing over the non-maternity section like, “I want this, this, and this!” I know, I know… The grass is always greener on the other side, right?
So anyhow, I’ve got this philosophy… maternity clothes seem to be pricier than normal clothes, and you only get to wear them for such a short period of time. My goal this year is to dress my bump with the essentials (via ASOS Maternity like jeans, work pants, a coat–things that are going to inevitably EXPAND no matter what. However, I want to try buying pieces that I can still wear and put to use even after my bump. I don’t know, I guess it’s the frugal side of me. I seriously HATE wasting money.
Today’s Bump Look
Today’s sweater is a Chicwish piece. I love how unique their clothes are; they’re for sure one of my faves. This knit piece has two cool features, the cold shoulder cut outs and the front tie. For some reason, I often tie shirts around my waist–I think I’m just drawn to an added layer of clothing. With this sweater, there’s no need to add a bulky layer of clothing–it already comes complete with a tie.
Below I’m linking pieces that can fly for both a growing bump, or just for the sake of it!
Happy Monday and wishing you all a happy Thanksgiving week!

Workin’ in the Summer
Sometimes work wear can be monotonous… The same neutrals over and over again… After a while, this look can become so blah! Today, I’m going to show you how to add a touch of summer to the workplace.
One of my featured looks on Instagram this week was an adorable cold shoulderChicwishtop. This top has summer written all over it! Naturally, you would want to wear this piece with denim, a fun girly skirt, or bright colors. Well, what about sporting a top like this to brighten up your work wear? I tested this combo out with my favorite black trousers from Nordstrom and instantly fell in love. One risk that I don’t mind taking is a fashion risk–and I’ve discovered that mixing work and summer attire is a brilliant combination!
The best part of all, you can easily transition back to your full summer wear after work, or of course on the weekends!
