The winter season for me is a tough one to dress for, especially when you are trying to maintain your chic status. One thing I particularly hate about dressing up in the winter is feeling cold. Cozy sweaters, sweats, and boots 24/7 is tempting. If it wasn’t for work, I’d be all over this look–especially while being pregnant. Unfortunately, there’s just something in me that won’t allow this to be the case everyday. And I genuinely do just love dressing up and feeling good. This is when I find creative ways to layer up!
Keeping it Simple
We have a tendency to think that chic pieces have to be this expensive and fancy piece of clothing, but I often find that it’s the simple pieces that make the boldest statements. Today’s featured piece is a khaki colored cardigan by SheIn. This gorgeous sweater can be worn in so many ways–it’s really just one of those classic and timeless pieces that you will keep forever.
How I Wore It
I decided to keep this OOTD very simple, which is what makes it so chic. A classic black turtleneck with distressed skinny jeans, and classic pointed neutral heels or strappy heels. The cardigan just adds a simple and neutral layer–perfect for layering up in the winter!

Thanks for stopping by the blog! Have a beautiful and chic week!
This past weekend I got to host a cheerleading clinic in my hometown of Sacramento, California. However, before getting to work, I got to spend a little leisure time with my dad and step mom in the beautiful city of San Francisco.
Now, if you’ve ever seen this amazing place–you would know that the weather is somewhat different. San Francisco is known for having its own sub climate, and it can be drastically cooler than the surrounding cities. When we arrived, it was 67 degrees–a nice break from the heat in the valley. I also thought this would be the perfect time to test out some of my early fall finds.
My family and I had fun enjoying the sites, like checking out the painted ladies, the Golden Gate Bridge, strolling the botanical gardens, and finally a picnic in Golden Gate Park. Oh, and I couldn’t pass up Chinese food in China Town! For dinner I wore my Christin Michaels black and white color blocked dress, also a Zappos find.
