Another tough one you guys… Okay, so I swear I was just announcing that I was expecting, and now here we are… My sweet Jaelyn is four months old and started up at daycare yesterday. I guess I should consider myself lucky because it just happened to work out to where my maternity leave rolled over into (more…)
Is fashion correlated to your lifestyle? Okay, so probably a bit intense for a fashion blog–but hey, it could possibly make a great research project. Right now, I’m into beautiful clothes that flow. Sometimes I wonder if ones fashion taste is somehow correlated to what is currently going on in their life. Right now, I’m all about going with the flow. Haha… I guess this is probably because I’m on summer break from teaching, and I just had my third child. You would think I’d be a stress ball right now with three children–however, (more…)
SheIn always has affordable and amazing pieces, but this top for sure has to be my absolute favorite! Yes, I’m a sucker for boho styles, but add a little crochet and elements like a peplum, a little off the shoulder action–and I’m totally sold. I literally fell in love with this boho top from the moment I saw it online. My only fear was whether or not it would fit since my body is currently being taken over and occupied right now. Thank goodness I managed to squeeze in just in time before my belly was too big. Now, this top will for sure be motivation for me to get back into shape after the baby arrives in the Spring.
How I Wore It and How I Plan To Wear It
Here, I paired this stunning top with my favorite paint splattered jeans and simple heels. Because it’s such a breathtaking top, there’s really no need to go overboard with the rest of the outfit. Styling the rest of your outfit with this bohemian beauty should be effortless. After I drop the baby weight, I plan on wearing this top with simple cutoff denim shorts and gladiators to complete the whole boho look. To dress it up a bit, I plan on a little white on white layering, with white skinny jeans and fringe nude heels. Can’t wait!
Until then, I’ll just wait patiently until I can fit this beauty the way I want. For the rest of you, click here for this beautiful top. It also comes in classic black and a gorgeous yellow. Honestly, I want them in all colors!
As always, thank you all so much for stopping by! Stay warm out there!
Every now and then I like to go the non-traditional route and wear something a bit more unconventional for the holidays. Bohemian styles have always been a fave of mine, so finding flowy looks that still work for the holidays are a super score!
The next dress is from Chicwish, another great online retailer known for its indie, chic, and boho styles. This dress has a beautiful red splash of color with turquoise accents–one of my favorite color combos. I paired this dress with my stunning Sam Edelmanfringe boots to add more to that boho glam look–see them here or here (for a non-fringed look).
If you’re lookin’ for different looks for your holiday parties or events, you may want to consider this comfy, yet knock out look of bohemian glam! Shop the post below for these looks and more boho holiday styles.
One of my favorite styles is bohemian. The rustic, yet romantic charm of this look seems to be my default since moving to Texas.
Somewhere along the line of my move to Dallas, I fell in love with the beautiful detailing of bohemian style–the embroidery, tribal patterns, and rustic leathers are enough to make this teacher/blogger go broke month after month–ha! However, recently I discovered a new way to shop boho–shopping bohemian basics. Shopping simple boho pieces not only stretches the budget, but it allows you to mix and match with more detailed pieces to add complexity to your charming OOTD.
Shall We Sundance?
Today’s bohemian pieces are both from one of my favorite retailers, Sundance. Sundance is a brilliant store that sells online, via catalog, and brick and mortar style. I found a classic beige sweater (great for layering) and a gorgeous denim jacket with tribal details on the back (see similar here, and check out Sundance’s AMAZING outerwear collection here). Both pieces were simple enough wear so I could mix
them with more detailed pieces.
Although they are available online, Sundance offers a monthly catalog that is pretty fun to receive each month. I love looking at their boots, jewelry, clothing, and even home decor. As much as I love window shopping via catalog, I found the best way to shop was in store. If you are in the Dallas metroplex area, you have to visit their gorgeous store in South Lake! The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating–I truly had a great shopping experience.
At the bottom of this post I have two sliders, one with all of my Sundance faves, and the next with today’s looks. Hope you love!
