I’ve always been a huge fan of the two piece set–mainly because you’re getting more bang for your buck! With sets, you get to take key pieces and extend your wardrobe by having the freedom to mix and match with other favorites from your closet. Recently, I’ve been obsessing over the oversized trend. Oversized knits, especially, are perfect for those cool fall days, and even better for layering up during the winter. The same goes for cardigans and coats. For some reason, these pieces just create an extra chic look. Nordstrom also has some great oversized pieces–check their site here if you want to see the trend for yourself.
Chic and Oversized
Today’s OOTD (outfit of the day) is an ASOS find. The oversized sweater and chic asymmetrical knit skirt create an awesome duo with a cool mix of ‘cozy meets contemporary.’ The neutral color is also perfect for the fall.
Mix It Up
If you scroll my pictures below, you will notice that I’ve mixed and matched my two piece set by simply adding denim, sneakers, heels, and a simple bodysuit to create all different looks. See my ‘Shop The Post’ slider below, as well as my favorite oversized pieces via Nordstrom.
Wishing you all a fantastic week! And as always, thanks for stopping by!
This summer I’m all about adventure! Being teachers and all, my husband and I both have the same summer vacation, and this year we planned on doing something a little different. Rather than flying out to a destination, we thought it would be exciting to a take a road trip and meet up with my sisters and their families at the Grand Canyon in Arizona; sort of a mini family reunion.
Now, keep in mind we do have a two-year old, meaning we need to take our time. With that I thought, how cool would it be to make a mini stop in New Mexico? The hubs doesn’t know about my little plan just yet, but he will shortly!
Festive Summer Stripes
With this festive pit stop we make, the girls and I are surly going to need to look the part, and I would say our striped and festive dresses will be perfect! You can find my dress from ASOS, see similar here, here, here, and here, complete with wrap up heels by Steve Madden or gladiator sandals from Target, and an authentic Mexican leather bag, which can be found via Etsy. As for the girls, their dresses can be found at Target, Tay’s here, similar sandals here, and Sisi’s here, and gladiators here). Whether or not you go on an adventure this summer, just make sure you keep it festive with these must haves!
See my video blog and pictures below to see our festive styled dresses! Don’t forget to scroll all the way to the bottom to shop our looks! And, just FYI… ASOS literally just sold out of this dress as soon as it was delivered to my front door on Saturday; they do have other colors–which are linked on my Shop the Post below. Other than that, I found some amazing similar looks that you would enjoy, and I’ll keep you posted about restock alerts.

It’s that wonderful time of the year where sales are all over! Memorial Day is a wonderful time to shop sales, especially since the summer is literally right around the corner! This is a great time to find your must have summer items for the upcoming season.
During the summer, I always shop dresses for both everyday use, as well as weddings. It’s a double win if I can find a dress that is doable for both everyday wear and special occasions. I also keep a look out for summer shoes, as well as small and light colored purses that are also great with the season.
See my lookbooks below, and you will see my top Memorial sale finds from my favorite places to shop… Nordstrom (Up to 40% off ‘Half Yearly Sale’ No code needed, ends 6/5/2016), ASOS (20% off at checkout, Code: HISUMMER, ends 5/31/2016), J.
