An Easy Breezy Summer Sunday
This summer we have really had no choice but to just kick back and relax. With Jaelyn being our little late spring baby, we wanted to make sure that we kept things simple by staying at home. Although I lovehangin’ at home (I’m definitely a homebody), I’ve been dying to get out of the house–probably because I suffered from cabin fever during my maternity leave. But now that I’m alive again (LOL) and have myenergy back, I’m ready to go on little tiny mini adventures just to enjoy the day–baby steps.
On Sunday, for example, it was so gorgeous here in Dallas. It was an alarming 86 degrees, which is pretty much unheard of in June! My husband had to coach a basketball tournament in the evening, so I took the girls out (which is very brave of me, let me just add) to our local downtown to simply walk around. Naturally, we stumbled across an adorable little ice cream truck known for their delicious and creamy soft serve. The girls and I enjoyed our ice cream and Snapchatted away! Today’s OOTD is from SheIn, and it’s a black v neck dress complete with tassels. What makes this dress so summery are the adorable and fun tassels. And what’s awesome is that this dress can also be used as a swim cover up, which is how I wore it on Friday at the pool. Umm… and can I just throw out that this dress is less than 15 bucks! I doubled up on tassels by wearing my favorite ivory colored BaubleBar piñata earrings. To soften up the black, and to match my earrings, I wore my super comfy Sam Edelman espadrille wedges via Nordstrom.
