So a bit of honesty here… This pregnancy is kicking my butt! The little person growing inside of me is literally sucking out all of the energy I have, even well on into the second trimester.
I am officially 19 weeks as of today, so I’ll be 5 months pregnant here in just a week. So really, I’ve been struggling with this “no energy” thing since the very start– about a month and a half into the pregnancy. I’ve been referring to myself as a zombie–sort of aimlessly wondering about the house–taking as many naps as possible. However, rather than knowing what I want to eat like a zombie, I have no idea–really the thought of a lot of foods makes me sick to my stomach (which is where a lot of my nausea issues come from, so it really comes down to what I can tolerate. Now this doesn’t really mean that I don’t get hungry. In fact, hungry is an understatement really… it’s like, no warning, no warning, no warning, and then immediate starvation mode. By this time I’m ready to rip someone’s face off!
So on the blog, don’t be surprised if you notice this cozy and comfy theme goin’ on. Because of my lack of energy, I’m all about feeling comfortable if I absolutely must leave the house. A company by the name of MakeMeChic has a great balance of both chic and comfy looks at crazy affordable prices. I found this super comfy, cozy, yet chic off the shoulder sweater that is both comfortable and beautiful. As you can see I dressed this look down by pairing it with distressed jeans (see my maternity pair here) and my new Ugg boots. However, this versatile sweater can also be worn with dressier bottoms like a leather pencil skirt or skinny pants, or even skinny jeans and pointed pumps for a more casual chic look.
