Home Decor: Making Room For Change but Cutting Corners

The Power of Nesting with Home Decor

Get ready everyone! I will be adding a new vertical on the blog, and that is home decor! If
you think about it, I’m not really straying too far from fashion, home decor is really just fashion for your home! I’m not sure what it is, maybe I’m entering the nesting phase of my Home Decor Bed of Roses with Stripe Mixpregnancy, or maybe I’m getting burnt out of taking blogging photos–or could it be both? who knows… However, I do know that I’m pretty excited to showcase something new on my site!

The Birthday Girl

Luckily, my mini me doesn’t really keep up with my blog–she’s too engulfed in her tween-ager life. But she does have a birthday coming up soon at the end of February, and we’ve decided to give her a fabulous room makeover instead of a birthday party. My little Sassy Pop is growing up too fast, and I think it’s about time we weed out the Hello Kitty takeover in her bedroom and upgrade to a bit more of a pre-teen, sophisticated look.

Cutting CornersBlogger Sasha Agent's daughter Sassy Pop

As I browsed online for room inspiration, I came across a look on Pinterest that I
just couldn’t get enough of. It was the Pottery Barn Teen’sEmily & Meritt Bed Of Roses Duvet.’ This mix of shabby and contemporary elements was love at first click, but I was quickly brought back to reality when I saw the price tags on everything. I started to become discouraged, but then I thought about finding alternate pieces and lookalikes to still get the same look. Well, I actually had a ton of luck with sites like, Amazon Home and Wayfair. I wasn’t as lucky with finding a similar duvet, so I went ahead and bought the actual Pottery Barn duvet and sham. However, as for the rest of the bed, see what I found below.

I think I’m off to a great start! Keep checking back for more of her room additions, a few DIY projects, and of course, the big reveal!

Wish me luck!

Cold Shoulder Boho Vibes in January

Today’s Look

White Off The Shoulder Crochet Sleeve Blouse

Blogger Sasha Agent wearing boho off the shoulder crochet topI’m A Sucker For Anything Boho

SheIn always has affordable and amazing pieces, but this top for sure has to be my absolute favorite! Yes, I’m a sucker for boho styles, but add a little crochet and elements like a peplum, a little off the shoulder action–and I’m totally sold. I literally fell in love with this boho top from the moment I saw it online. My only fear was whether or not it would fit since my body is currently being taken over and occupied right now. Thank goodness I managed to squeeze in just in time before my belly was too big. Now, this top will for sure be motivation for me to get back into shape after the baby arrives in the Spring.

How I Wore It and How I Plan To Wear It

Here, I paired this stunning top with my favorite paint splattered jeans and simple heels. Because it’s such a breathtaking top, there’s really no need to go overboard with the rest of the outfit. Styling the rest of your outfit with this bohemian beauty should be effortless. After I drop the baby weight, I plan on wearing this top with simple cutoff denim shorts and gladiators to complete the whole boho look. To dress it up a bit, I plan on a little white on white layering, with white skinny Blogger Sasha Agent wearing boho off the shoulder crochet topjeans and fringe nude heels. Can’t wait!

Until then, I’ll just wait patiently until I can fit this beauty the way I want. For the rest of you, click here for this beautiful top. It also comes in classic black and a gorgeous yellow. Honestly, I want them in all colors!

As always, thank you all so much for stopping by! Stay warm out there!

Lace Up Accents and Show Stopping with Tobi

Better Off Lace Up Shift Dress

The Lace Up Trend

To be honest, my first lace up piece was kind of a disaster. You see, after going through two pregnancies, plus breastfeeding for a year with both girls, I’ve actually been pretty self-conscious about showing any skin in that area. Over my Christmas break, I blogged about finding a one stop shop for show Blogger Sasha Agent lace up shift dressstopping dresses. For some reason I felt compelled to try out a front lace up dress. I couldn’t resist just how stunning it was, and just hoped that the lace didn’t run too low. Once I tried it on, I was so happy I took a chance. Just like I hoped, the lace didn’t run low, so I didn’t have to worry about being self-conscious–especially because I could still get away with wearing a supportive bra.

How to Rock the Lace Up Dress

Today’s Tobi dress, the ‘Better Off Lace Up Shift Dress,’ is that perfect date night, or dinner dress if a girl wants to stand out of the crowd a bit. It comes in three colors, a mauve–which is what I have featured here today, but it also comes in classic black, and a beautiful olive green. As far as shoes, you have tons of options. A strappy or even simple heel would really make this dress pop, but lately I can’t get enough of my over the knee tan boots which not only look amazing with almost everything, but they also keep my legs warm in the cold.

Tobi, All About the Glam

Last week I introduced an online retailer by the name of Tobi to my blog. From the moment you click on their site, you’ll see that this brand has glamour written all over them! With each piece, I findBlogger Sasha Agent lace up shift dress something very unique. Like stated on my last Tobi post, their designs take place in the heart of Los Angeles. They take inspiration from the LA city life, and channel them into beautiful and affordable clothing. “We design and develop all of our products and collections out of our headquarters in downtown Los Angeles. Our design inspiration is LA itself; the girls, the city, the energy, the attitude.” (Tobi.com).

See the link at the top of this post for this beautiful lace up find! Wishing you all a beautiful and stress free weekend!

Winter Florals and A Kimono Dream with Pink Blush

Pretty much exactly a year ago, I got the opportunity to blog about beautiful clothing from a company known as Pink Blush. This online retailer started off selling trendy maternity wear, but quickly began incorporating clothing for all women. I absolutely loved the pieces that I received last year, but this year, this company has really kept up with the latest trends–also keeping prego mamas like me in the loop!

blogger sasha agent kimono in the winterQuick Recap

Pink Blush has incredible style for all women, but  they also have an amazing Pink Blush Maternity line where even expecting mamas can find affordable and trendy maternity clothes. Rather than being forced to pay a pretty penny for very plain or just down right ugly maternity clothingPink Blush sells cute maternity clothes that are also available in regular sizes for non-pregnant women. So clearly they’re all about the mamas–however, also catering to your everyday woman.

Today’s look has to be one of my faves of all time! You all know I love my flowy and bohemian looks. Throw some florals in that mix and I’m sold! However, I wasn’t sure how I could rock my new Mauve Floral Chiffon Maternity Kimono winter style. As I tested out some looks, I found my two favorite thermals with embellished sleeves, giving them that whole boho feel. I simply layered my kimono with my bohemian thermal, my favorite denim and rustic boots. My first look was more of a street bohemian look with ripped denim and black accents. My second look was a bit more of a softer look. I chose a pale pink colored embellished thermal and paired it with blue denim and my favorite over the knee riding boots. So basically, the key to rockin’ the kimono in the winter is layering–especially with the knits!

Hoping you all had a fabulous New Year’s Day! As for me, back to the grind tomorrow–back to work and prepping life for our new little addition. I’ll be updating you all with a new baby bumpdate here soon!

On NYE Occasions and Simplicity with Tobi

Today’s Looks Plus NYE Looks!

DEEP IN MY DAYDREAMS SHIFT DRESS IN MAUVE

SOULMATE MAXI DRESS IN LAVENDER

PARTY DRESSES

A Night Out On The Town

This New Year’s Eve I’ll be hittin’ the town date night style with the hubs. I was searching for something semi-formal’ish–definitely suitable for a low-key party atmosphere, and it had to be something soft and simple. Oh, and one more requirement, I for sure wanted something affordable, where I wasn’t having to splurge on a one time purchase.

New Discovery

Along my journey of searching for the perfect NYE attire, I discovered a glamorous, yet affordable company known as, Tobi. Talk about glam, this brand has glamour written all over them! With each piece, I find something very unique. Tobi designs take place in the heart of Los Angeles. To me, this was the exact scene I was looking for! Looks like this Cali turned Texas girl is going back to her California roots!

You tell me, my first option is a sweet little number. A mauve shift dress, but almost nude dress, is gorgeous! Elegant because of its beautiful front crisscross strap design, yet simple because of its more casual fabric and cut. It was like love at first sight with this beauty. It could easily be paired with strappy nude heels, or with over the knee nude boots for more of a casual and fun party scene. My next option is a lavender open back maxi gown. Another simple beauty, but again, elegant because of its open back, unique halter, and over the shoulder crisscross straps . The maxi design makes this dress more suited for a beautiful candlelight dinner in a more formal and relaxed scene.

Hmm… choices, choices. I guess it all depends on where the hubs and I ultimately choose. Clearly, I don’t need to be hitting up the party scene in my pregnant state–ha! So I guess this img_0693mama will be bringin’ in the New Year over a four course meal and sparkling apple cider! Sounds like dress number two is the winner!

It’s not too late to take advantage of quick shipping for your Tobi NYE night out on the town. Also, if you’re needing to find something for that special party scene or occasion–this online retailer just may be your one stop shop! Plus, you’ll about faint once you see the prices! For the design and fabric, I would never believe how affordable these pieces are!

Wishing everyone a fierce and fabulous NYE!
