One Fall #OOTD, 3 Ways to Wear it!

In Dallas, we’re still averaging highs of 90 degrees, which means you can go from this look… To this look… Just like that!

Texas weather in general can be a bit unpredictable. And like I mentioned before in my Fall in Dallas post, the fall is by far my favorite season. You can expect mildly cool mornings and evenings, as well as perfect summer highs. So what does this mean for your wardrobe? Really, anything goes!

On this gorgeous fall day, I took my favorite Cupshe romper out for a morning spin by layering it with an oversized fringe cardigan. To finish off my look, I wore my favorite knee high Frye riding boots. Finally, I added my fall must have accessory… a Forever 21 tan fedora. Can you believe this one was 12 dollars?

As the temps climbed, I traded out my cardigan and boots for my all time favorite Free People exclusive Jefferey Campbell gladiator sandals. I then took a long sleeve denim button up or chambray shirt, and wrapped it around my waist for an added layer.

Finally, as the temperature dropped, I simply changed out my sandals for my tan low heeled booties, left the shirt around my waist, and tossed my fedora back on.

And there you have it! One #ootd, and three ways to wear it in the fall–well in Dallas at least.

Happy fall y’all!

Fall in Dallas

Fall in DallasIt’s the most wonderful time–of the year,” in my best Andy Williams voice. Okay, it’s obviously not Christmas, but Dallas weather in the fall has me smiling and humming this tune.

For 25 years of my life, I was a full on California girl. Now that I am a Texan, I realized that I took the beautiful Cali weather for granted.

The season I now look forward to the most is fall in Dallas. It’s absolutely gorgeous. If you ever visit in the fall, expect breezy yet light winds, cool and crisp mornings, and mildly warm evenings.

Feel free to wear anything you want really. Dress in anything from light sweaters, cutoff shorts, dresses, blazers, rompers–anything goes!

Fall in DallasThis past weekend we took a last minute randevú to a lake right outside of Dallas, and the weather was perfect. It was literally the exact blend of summer and fall. On this beautiful day I wore my adorable CUPSHE two piece set, layered it with an oversized fringe sweater, and topped it off with a statement gold necklace–so comfy and chic! This entire look was under 30 dollars! You just can’t beat that!

So if you happen to “Fall” in the Dallas area, remember, just about anything goes!

Happy Fall!

Dallas Yoga in the City

Yoga in the CityBecause of my hectic weekdays balancing teaching, motherhood, blogging, and what not–I truly do treasure my weekends.

Recently I researched some family friendly events taking place in the area, and I came across a free yoga class hosted by the Dallas Yoga Center at Klyde Warren Park in downtown Dallas. I thought…

“Jackpot!”

It’s free, and it’s in an environment where the little ones (meaning my toddler and husband) could run around!

The format of the class was perfect and the instructor kept a great pace. She also differentiated the moves for all levels.

So Dallas locals… Guess what? It’s every Saturday morning, from 10-11am! This is honestly such an amazing way to clear your head, burn some calories, enjoy the beautiful fall weather, and soak in the beautiful downtown scenery. For more information and details, click here!

Hope to see you there!

National Fringe Week Continues… My ‘Forever’ Fringe Finds

The Fringe ClutchHere’s an oldie but goodie. Back in early August I featured this genuine suede leather purse from Forever 21 in my, “The Fringe Clutch is a Must” piece. Recently you may have noticed Forever 21 stepping up their game by adding more quality of clothing and accessories to their stores. The crazy thing about this change is that they’re still keeping their super low and competitive prices!

The Forever 21 fringe clutch (now also available in black) is truly one of a kind. I love that it extends out and folds over–adding something different to the traditional flat clutch. Just like true and genuine suede should be, this fringe has great movement, and is made with great quality.

My next Forever favorite is a fringe piece that I just discovered online yesterday! It’s another genuine suede leather piece, however a jacket. This fringe jacket is very light, so it’s perfect for the fall. It also has a vintage, yet timelessness to it, making it one of their high demand products. The tan jacket is currently sold out, so I don’t know about you, but I’ll be waiting patiently in the background until I receive my ‘back in stock’ email.

Finally, I’m obsessed with this fringe little black dress. This dress is simple, however, the subtle fringe detailing adds something dynamic. Pair this dress with plain booties–black or tan, and you will for sure become a showstopper. This little number will be making a live appearance to the blog very soon!

Below you’ll find my #ootd look featuring my favorite fringe clutch. You’ll find that I’ve paired this adaptable clutch with a black and white striped top, black distressed denim, and a military style vest. I also added my pink pointed heels to add a splash of bright color.

Stay tuned for an appearance and review of my favorite ‘Forever’ fringe finds!
