Fashion Correlated to Lifestyle?
Is fashion correlated to your lifestyle? Okay, so probably a bit intense for a fashion blog–but hey, it could possibly make a great research project. Right now, I’m into beautiful clothes that flow. Sometimes I wonder if ones fashion taste is somehow correlated to what is currently going on in their life. Right now, I’m all about going with the flow. Haha… I guess this is probably because I’m on summer break from teaching, and I just had my third child. You would think I’d be a stress ball right now with three children–however, I’m actually pretty relaxed. With each of my girls, I find that I become more and more chill, and not so obsessed with doing everything right.
So back to my flow… These loose and flowy pieces tend to be bohemian looks. Looking at today’s top, which I’m obsessed with by the way, was featured yesterday on my Snapchat and Instagram Stories (you can follow both, @snafierce). When I gave my followers a sneak peek of my top, I was speaking on how cool and breezy the weather has been in Dallas lately–which perfectly showed off my beautiful and flowy top by Free People via Macy’s. Today’s featured top, Free People Metallic Blooms Printed Blouse, will instantly make you fall in love. I love its light weight and cool feel. Even with it being a long sleeve blouse, it still feels super light–even in Dallas.
How I Wore It
I wore today’s blouse three different ways… The first way was just an easy casual look with distressed boyfriend jeans (find your faves here via Nordstrom), my ultimate summer sandals–Tory Burch Miller Flip Flops, ivory tassel earrings by BaubleBar (featured on my last post) and my favorite vintage Coach crossbody from Etsy (see it here or a great leather lookalike here from my favorite leather store, Fashionable).
Next, I replaced my jeans for a cooler option, my vintage mom cutoff shorts. I actually hand distressed mine from a pair of vintage jeans I had, but click here for some options. And you’ll never guess where my favorite wrap up fringe sandals are from? Payless! Crazy right? These amazing sandals come in multiple colors and are very comfortable–best of all, they are only 15 bucks!
Finally, for a more day ready look, I switched back to jeans, but this time, skinny patchwork jeans. For a little layerage, I added my favorite Fashionable leather choker (20 bucks), chunky tan heels, and ultimate summer bag–my Cult Gaia wooden arch bag (see post here).
