Chic Mom Style

Alright, let’s get real… when I’m mom’ing around, you won’t find me in heels. And don’t get me wrong, I love heels, but I’m not trying to chase my toddler around in them–trust me, I’ve tried before and it wasn’t very pretty. Most people think that this means moms must kiss their chic styles goodbye. This is so not the case. This simply means that you must step up your shoe game!

My Chic Mom Trick

So here’s the mom trick–it’s super easy. If you have a show stopping OOTD, try finding a chic pair of sneakers to compliment your outfit. These days it’s so easy to find glamorous tennis. Dallas blogger Sasha Agent | How to | Mom ChicI found a beautiful pair of J. Crew exclusive New Balance sneakers with gold accents a while back, and I still have a shoe crush! The white with gold is neutral enough to go with a lot of chic wardrobe pieces. If you really dig deep on the blog, you’ll see that I’ve even worn these sneakers with skirts–they’re the best!

Now let’s fast forward a bit. A lot of times, especially on the weekends, my husband and I will run errands, or we will do something with the girls, and then find ourselves available for a spontaneous date night. I don’t always have the time for a quick change, but a change of shoes, I can do! This is when it’s time to break out the heels ladies!

Today’s OOTD is another cold shoulder beauty. I just can’t seem to pass these pieces up! I found this beautiful Missguided Cold Shoulder Sweater Dress top/tunic/dress (it works all three ways). It’s not a maternity piece, but I sized up specifically for my growing bump. I paired this top with an old pair of patch work denim from Old Navy, but click here and here for similar looks. As far as shoes, a chic pair of pointed nude heels (mine are BCBGeneration BG Throne Pumps) and my tan suede booties by Chinese Laundry definitely spiced up this OOTD even more.

How to Go from Glam, to Mom Glam

Real Life OOTD

Many people ask me if I really wear the outfits that I blog about–especially with my kids. The answer is, ABSOLUTELY! I like to call it, mom glam! Mom glam is all about creating a fierce OOTD, all while wearing shoes that are chic, yet still offer comfort. I would be mad at myself, if I spent money on nice outfits, simply for the sake of taking blog pictures. When I purchase or receive clothes from companies, I make sure that they truly reflect my personal style, and that they’re something I will enjoy wearing even outside of the blog.

With Mom Glam, It’s All About the Heel

So again, how do I do this with kids? My secret… It’s all about the shoes–especially the heel. Now, a bit of honesty here–I’m pretty good at walking in heels. In fact, there were times when I had to dance in heels for performances back in my NBA dancing days. Block heels that aren’t too high, are shoes that I would wear with my kids. So going to a museum, or an event with minimal walking–I can handle a low and sturdy heel.

If a little bit more activity and movement is involved, such as a local farmers market, or a children’s event, I’ll be sure to wear shoes that are a bit more kid friendly. Thanks to street fashion, tennis shoes can now be worn with practically anything. Sandals are also a lifesaver; they make it easy to get around while looking on trend. Wedges, as long as the platform isn’t too high, can also be great with the kiddos.

So there you have it! Strut that playground like it’s a runway! Ha! With or without kids–make a statement! You can shop my favorite mom friendly shoes at the bottom of this post!

Wishing everyone a fab Monday and week!

How to Wear a Chambray Dress, Cold Shoulder Style

Blogger Sasha Agent cold shoulder chambray dressBlogger Sasha Agent cold shoulder chambray dressSheIn Style

Today’s post is sponsored by one of my favorite online retailers, SheIn, a retailer that keeps up with the latest trends all while staying incredibly affordable. I shop this brand often especially because, as a fashion blogger, I have to invest in a lot of clothes. As far as my staples–jeans, bottoms, shoes, bags–I try to invest a little more, mainly because I’ll be wearing them more often. However, with pieces like tops and dresses, I actually try to scale down in price a bit because I tend to change these pieces out more often.

One of my favorite things… finding multiple ways to wear one thing. I find that the more simple the piece is, the easier it is to mix and match.

Three Ways to Chambray

Today’s chambray beauty is a classic–a piece that will stay around for quite sometime mainly because of its simplicity. I wore this dress first classic style, with peep toe booties. Next, I wore this dress with a bohemian flare wearing sandals and a boho statement bag. Finally, I wore this dress more so as a top and layered it over jeans–sort of street chic style.

See my pictures below for inspiration, and be sure to check out more from SheIn! I love that they release new pieces daily (click here, or on the logo to the left to check out the latest and greatest from Shein). You can also shop my post below for direct links and accessories!

Wishing everyone a happy Monday, and a productive week!

Off the Shoulder Trend ‘Fall Style’ Featuring Zaful

Keep Those Shoulders Cool

The whole, off the shoulder/cold shoulder trend, has been going strong for quite a few seasons now–but don’t warm up those shoulders just yet… I’ve got a fall update! I’ve been checking out the fall trends, and have determined that the off the shoulder look isn’t going anywhere! And thank goodness for that because I would hate to trap these beauties in my closet for too long! Today, I’m going to give you a few tips on how to “fall up” an off the shoulder top.

Today’s off the shoulder top from one of my favorite affordable chic online stores, Zaful, was less than 12 dollars! This beauty is perfectly cropped, so it pairs well with high-waisted bottoms. One common complaint about the off the shoulder top–they always have to be adjusted. Not with this one! Because of the way the arms are attached, this top doesn’t ride up your arms like most blouses.

For the fall, feel free to rock an off the shoulder top with your favorite pair of jeans. This is a great way to tone down the summer vibes! Next, try pairing this look with a simple and chic scarf to add a bold statement to your neck area–this also gives a more covered look. Finally, I paired this top with a denim high-waisted pencil skirt. The longer length of the pencil skirt, again–gives off more of a covered look. making it fit perfectly into the fall.

If you keep up with my blog, you’ll probably remember my previous blogs on Zaful… (See here and here for a boho and glamorous tomboy look). Like I mentioned before, Zaful is one of my favorite online retailers, and I’ve never been left disappointed. In case you missed my last post, Zaful sells on trend clothes at crazy affordable prices. While shopping on Zaful’s website, you’ll notice that it’s easy to navigate with everything clearly categorized. Their sizing guide is also super easy to use–I’ve never had any sizing issues. Whenever I order from them, they package everything with great care and offer many options as far as expedited shipping.

See below for just a few ways to wear this look for the fall!

Enjoy the rest of your week!

The Basics

So, I always start with the basics… I give myself almost like a blank canvas to work with. I found a basic sheer tank top, and a pair of trousers–perfect for work. Second, I whipped out my favorite cropped leather jacket, bought a trending patched up cargo trench, and borrowed my daughter’s distressed denim jacket!

Finally, I needed some new accessories–otherwise, my outfits would look pretty basic. Thankfully, Payless ShoeSource came to the rescue and hooked me up with some amazing shoes from their Christian Siriano for Payless designer line that will keep me looking professional, yet super chic! First, I have my black pumps. If Blogger Sasha Agent in street fashion |Leather jacket and pointed loafersyou don’t mind wearing heels, this style of shoe is a must!
