31 Weeks and Feeling…

Okay my friends, number one, let me just apologize for the lack of posts. I know I’m down to a post a week, but Lord knows the struggle is real right now. This Anemia is kicking my butt–so as of lately, I’ve been prioritizing my rest over the blog and Instagram. Baby, however, seems to be doing just fine! I’ve got around 8 1/2 more weeks to go, which is crazy, because it seems like I just announced that I was even pregnant! I’ve put on about 35 lbs, and my lack of energy is not really helping with the whole gaining weight issue either. I’m averaging about 5-6 lbs per month–and I still have a couple more to go {Sigh}.  In the end, I’m just hoping I’ll have the energy to drop the weight over the summer, because this mama can’t wait to get into old clothes–this in fact, is my true motivation to lose weight.

Color Blocking and Illusions

Speaking of clothes, I’m still trying to rock non-maternity pieces, however, I’m not goingBlogger Sasha Agent color blocking  to lie–I’m definitely having to strategically select my tops to make sure that they’re extra long so they cover my belly. Today’s top is a super chic and glamorous off the shoulder top. Even though it’s a one piece, it gives off the illusion of having a layered crop top look which creates a beautiful color blocking statement. I sized up to a large to compensate for my growing bust (which I’m so over right now)–if that helps for size, ha!

I recently posted a SheIn wishlist for the spring, and I’m so jealous of all of the spring and summery dresses I’m missing out on. Did I mention that I’m so ready to have my body back? Ha! 8 1/2 more weeks!

Hoping to keep the momentum on the blog! But as always, thanks for the support and for stopping by my friends!

Birthday room makeover

Done and Done!

Well, kind of… Okay so her room is still a work in progress, but are they ever really done? With my current energy level of negative 100 right now, I just haven’t had the energy to help my husband with projects like usual. And although we did make great progress, we still have some overall cosmetic touch ups to make like, new baseboards, crown molding, popcorn ceiling removal, ceiling fan replacement, new doors, curtains–you know, just a few minor things (sigh). Check out the video below for Sisi’s big birthday reveal, and for before pictures! Happy birthday to my beautiful girl! Click here for my previous post on Sisi’s big room makeover.

Affordable Spring Must Haves From SheIn

SheIn Spring Wishlist | Sasha Agent| Fashion Blog

Spring? Already?

Well… kind of. You see, Dallas never seems to disappoint when it comes to the weather. This past weekend began in the high 80s! Yep! Middle of winter, and here I am bundled up in a scarf, my Ugg boots, and puff jacket–pregnant and sweating profusely. If you ever consider moving to Texas, just know that checking the weather is an everyday must. SheIn Spring Wishlist | Sasha Agent| Fashion Blog

So with this whole random 80 degree weather thing we’ve got going on, I figured I might as well start gearing up for the spring. My first stop is always SheIn. This online retailer always seems to be on trend, and I never have to overspend. They constantly push out new pieces by releasing new clothing and accessories everyday.

What’s Trending

If you check out my top picks from below, you’ll notice that the off the shoulder, cold shoulder trend is still alive and well! Thank goodness too because this look is super gorgeous and flattering on all body types. I’m also  noticing that ruffles, bell sleeves, and flowy styles are a big trend this year. And to me, this all sounds so refreshing, because there’s just something about winter fashion and pregnancy that don’t seem to be working for me.

Check out my top 10 picks from SheIn–their Spring line up is looking very colorful and bright! Now, let the Spring countdown begin!

Have a wonderful week!

Sassy with Swag: New Kids Clothing Line Art Class

Tween Swag

“Mommy… no one says swag anymore.” As you can see, my sweet little Sassy Pop is still just as sassy as ever, but she’s no longer little. I’ve been struggling with this one for real you guys; I’m so not ready for her to be a teenager–taking in every second of the next two years (sigh).

This ten-year old knows exactly what she wants and just goes for it! On top of that, she has impeccable style–a mix of street chic glam, with a little bit of tomboy flare. So I’m not sure if you all are aware of this, but Sisi is a dancer. She loves and appreciates all forms of dance, but her favorite is hip hop. She’s been rollin’ with competitive hip hop teams for the past four years now, and this has really made an impact on how she dresses–even outside of dance.

Kids Clothing: Art Class

Finally, a kids clothing line made perfectly for my sassy girl–a sporty chic style one can rock off and on the Kids clothing line | Sassy Pop | Art Classdance floor. Target has recently released a kids clothing line called Art Class. I love how this line allows you or your child to express their creativity by making their pieces unique, yet also versatile enough to layer the pieces. I  also love how they have a girl and boy line because every now and then, I like to scan the boys section for cool pieces.

If you haven’t already, check out Target’s new line, Art Class. Also see below to view how miss Sassy Pop layered her OOTD. You can also scroll below to see my favorite Art Class pieces!

Happy Friday! And hope you have a sassy weekend!

Valentine’s Day Style: Layering with Ruffles and Rose

Layers on Layers

Adding layers to your OOTD is a wonderful way to add dimension. I’m not going to lie, this non-maternity wear while pregnant challenge is getting more and more difficult every week, but I’m trying to stick it out (See my previous post as to why I’m trying not to invest too much in maternity wear). However, this weeks’ style is very free and flowy–so my pieces will be perfect while pregnant and post pregnancy.

Valentine’s Day Style

This week I’m featuring two flowy pieces from ASOS. I was looking for something different for Valentine’s Day, something that had an overall soft kind of feel. The first piece I fell in love with was a sheer maxi dress with subtle ruffling at the top half. Under this piece, I wore a black turtleneck. The black turtleneck is actually one of my staple winter pieces. Layering dresses with turtlenecks is an easy way stay warm and chic at the same time. Finally, I topped this look off with a flowy leather jacket. The second ASOS piece was more of a rose pink dress, but yet it’s tone is still soft. It’s ruffled accents and gathered side adds a romantic flare to this dress–perfect for Valentine’s Day! You’ll notice that I wore this piece with and without bottoms. Have fun with sheer pieces like these–the sky is the limit when it comes to layering!

Shoe Crush Alert

Speaking of V-Day, I found the most gorgeous heels, perfect for Valentine’s Day! These beauties are the perfect soft shade of pink, and they are the perfect price.

Check out my looks below for all of the different ways I wore these dresses. Wishing you all a fantastic week!

Home Decor: Obsessed with Throw Pillows

Home Decor Sasha Agent | Throw Pillows

Behind the Obsession

Anyone else out there have a throw pillow obsession? My husband is ready to throw me out the window whenever I bring home or purchase a new decorative pillow. Ha! He cannot comprehend why we even need them in first place due to the fact that I yell at him whenever he lays his head on one. To me, throw pillows give that final touch, and that last pop of detail to finalize your home.

So here is why I am a crazy person when it comes to throw pillows…

5 Reasons to Love Throw Pillows

  1. I like to furnish with neutral colors purposely so I always have the flexibility to change my accent colors. I’ve been known to change up my home decor time to time. So when this happens, it’s not the end of the world financially because all I’m having to change out are accent pieces and throw pillows.
  2. There are so many accents and statements you can make with pillows. They are great when you are looking to break up monotony on your sofa, or on your bed.
  3. Pillows can also dress up bare corners and empty oversized baskets. Often when I have an empty space that needs that certain something, I dress it up with a basket, or one of my antique galvanized oversized bins. Stuff these with a few pillows, and you have a new occupied space!
  4. You can easily play off of your accent colors by adding complimentary colors. This will often add more depth and detail to your focal point–it will also take away the predictably of your color scheme.
  5. Throw pillows can make sentimental statements. I have gone through Etsy to order personalized pillows marked with me and my husband’s wedding date and initials. I even DIY’d a few initial name pillows to avoid crazy costs.

So there you have it! Justification as to why your home needs an overload of pillows. When shopping for home statement pieces, I usually check with Pottery Barn first to see if I can find lookalikes on Amazon and Target (Target has some great deals right now… see here). For my personalized pillows, I  go to Etsy or Pinterest for my DIY inspiration. Take a look below at my current faves, and more I have on my wishlist. Just don’t tell the hubs–haha!

Have an amazing week my friends!
